Speaker 1:

guess who's back in the house? Heels keep clapping. As you can tell, I've been listening to rupaul and his song called call me mother. I just love it. It's just this spicy little number which I just absolutely love and really hypes me up. As you can hear, guys, I am in the midst of recovering from death from my cold, but I felt so like I really need to talk about this. I need to fucking talk about it now. So this is why we're here.

Speaker 1:

We're talking about Glastonbury today. No, I'm not talking about the festival. Like, get out of here. Get out of here, honey. We're not talking about Glastonbury festival. We're talking about Glastonbury as the small town in Somerset, which is like basically a high street and it's renowned for its spiritual and mystical significance. Like, if you've ever been there, you know the magic of Glastonbury, you know it's just such a special place and I absolutely like love going there. I remember the first time I went there. It like it completely blew my mind. But yeah, I'm running ahead of myself now, but it's super unique. Okay, you're never going to find the bookshops that you find there, like anywhere else. They have old styles apothecaries with herbs in jars where you can go and pick your own herbs. It's absolutely incredible.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so Glastonbury has this monument called the Glastonbury Tor. It's like on the top of this Mount of Hail, I think there's like 200 and something steps up and honestly, guys, this is like an energy portal, like there is a doorway where you can walk through the entire tour and I swear to God it's like a cleansing energy portal. So there are so many, so many beliefs linked to Glastonbury Tor, the legends, like it's inspired so many things, but it is totally believed to be a sacred place, like associated with spiritual traditions and Christianity, celtic mythology and paganism. Okay, and I went to Glastonbury recently and I always walk up the tour, and I go up the tour because it's just beautiful, like you can see for miles and miles, but also just walking through the tour just feels like an incredible energy portal. So the tour is meant to be on like a ley line and you're like what the fuck is a ley line? Basically, the line is basically a ley line is where the, where there are lines, energy lines in the earth and they connect significant ancient sites. Ok, so what? It's on one of the ley lines. So it makes it a very significant spiritual site because of the energy that is passed through that that location because of the ley line, through that that location, because of the ley line. Okay, it's literally so, so beautiful.

Speaker 1:

And when we are talking about ancient sacred sites, we're talking about stone, stone circles, churches, burial grounds, like all of these like really significant spiritual things, all create energy lines across the earth. And they doesn't, you know, obviously doesn't just exist in Glastonbury, it exists all over the fucking world. Okay, because we have these beautiful, spiritual, mystical sites all over the world. Okay, so they crisscross all over the globe, but Glastonbury is meant to sit on one of them. So, to kind of put this into like a bodily form, we all have like meridians in our bodies which are like energy pathways all the way through our body. Okay, and when we are doing like acupuncture or we are doing EFT tapping or things like that, we tap on specific points of the body. Well, this is kind of what ley lines are, but across the globe there are energy lines and then these monuments are those acupuncture points, so incredibly significant for you energy wise.

Speaker 1:

Something to be aware of is that Avalon and King Arthur are the most famous legends associated with Glastonbury. Tor and the connection to Avalon is the mystical island in Arthurian legend. Wow, we are going back in history. Many people believe that Glastonbury tour is the actual location of Avalon, which is this beautiful, beautiful place where King Arthur was taken after his final battle and this is where he's said to be buried. Okay, so this kind of draws in loads of interest from those historians or the people who love history about King Arthur. And it's also tied into the Holy Grail as well, which, yeah, is meant to hold the Holy Grail in the tour. So this makes it a pilgrimage site for those who are looking for that spiritual enlightenment.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and when we look at, like, paganism and Celtic traditions the tour was this was significant for this as well like it's believed to be a site of worship and often we see, um, a lot of the pagan traditions or pagan holidays are often celebrated as Stonehenge, which is not far from Glastonbury, um, but, yeah, glastonbury tour as well. Again, in mythology, this kind of links to the goddess or to earth goddess and deities, um, so, yeah, the prominent landscape as well makes it a natural place for ritual and ceremonies. Like, when you go there, you see people just doing their thing. They're climbing up the hill, like it is a bit of a struggle, like to get up. It's not an easy walk but it's lovely. Um, and yeah, at the top of the tour it's just, it's just so beautiful and, like I said, dedicated to like earth goddess, maybe Gaia it. You know, every tradition is having their own kind of spin on the tour and I'm sure I've heard somewhere that Glastonbury tour is the heart chakra of the of the world, but I hear that about lots of other places. But nevertheless, I just wanted to raise awareness about Glastonbury because everyone's like, oh my god, like Glastonbury festival, yeah, that's fucking great, but actually there is such a wealth of spiritual knowledge here, like it's so beautiful, like ain't, it's ancient as well, like you can feel the ancient energy.

Speaker 1:

And I went to glastonbury and obviously I got the tour and then when I go back down, there is this place called the white spring. So there's the white spring and the red spring. The red spring is in the chalice wells, which is again at the bottom of the tour. So basically these springs have water that basically travel down from the tour into a into a beautiful thing. Um, so the spring is actually rich in calcium. Sometimes it gives like a milky appearance, um, which you know, is different to the red spring in the chalice. Well, because that gives more of like an iron rich red color. It's known as the red well or the red spring. Um, so when I go to the white spring this was my first time ever going and, oh, my fucking god, it was so beautiful.

Speaker 1:

You take a few steps down into this temple and it's like, like it feels like a rock in the side of a mountain. It's so beautiful. They have places where you can have a sacred space to pray or to give gratitude or whatever. The interior is like dark, with candles, like that is the only um primary source of light, and everyone's very, very quiet. Um, it's a deep, like peace and space for spiritual connection. Honestly, it's so sacred. I don't think I've ever been in a place which has felt so, so sacred. So the white spring is also believed to have healing properties, so people often will drink the water. So there's actually like, um, oh, like a tap outside where you can fill your water up with fresh spring water. But also there are places where you can get in and dip and swim.

Speaker 1:

So I decided to go in, like I kind I was like I'm gonna go in. I had already decided I was gonna go in, so I took off like everything. I'm in my bathing suit and I look around and everyone's getting in naked and I'm like, sorry, urkel, the German woman next to me, what are you doing anyway? Like a lot of these women well, a lot of these women I think it's about five women got completely naked and got into the spring and I literally felt awkward being in the swimsuit. So I took my swimsuit off and I got in naked as well and this is an open temple as well.

Speaker 1:

Guys, I've never done anything like this, but I honestly felt so safe and so able to just be me and to just take off my bathing suit without worry and like there were men walking around, there were men, there were children, there were women, like people are looking at you, like it was. It was very weird, but I actually just didn't give a fuck, because the minute I got into that spring, I was like, oh my god, this is cold because it's in a cave, right? Sorry if you just heard my dog go, um, but yeah, it's in. It's in a cave, right? Sorry if you just heard my dog go, but yeah, it's in a freaking cave, so it's freezing and you get in and the water just feels so incredible on your skin, like I don't know if it's a placebo effect or the fact of like the environment that you're in or whatever, but it's just so beautiful and, yeah, like you just get to splash the water over you and it's so cleansing and yeah, I think like this is known as a really popular location for those who are seeking, like spiritual healing or physical healing.

Speaker 1:

It's it's amazing, and throughout the temple there are different shrines at different places and this is often associated with the worship of the divine, feminine or goddess energy. So there's lots of different altars around. There are lots of different places where you can sit and have like your own connection. You see a lot of people coming in and giving gratitude as well, and it just feels like such, like an incredible place. Honestly, you can't bring your phone in. Your phone has to be taken away, like you know, putting your bag out the way. You can't take photos in there, but have a little look, google white spring glastonbury and you'll see a tiny piece of the magic because, honestly, it's so beautiful.

Speaker 1:

So this is like my top like list of where you need to go in glastonbury if you're going to visit, so you've got the tour. Then, when you walk to the bottom, after your little hike, you can go in the healing water and with the white spring. Just one last thing like it has flowing water and it's the sound of that, and also there are three different pools which are deeper, so you can go deeper and deeper and I think the deepest one is about four foot and you can like really submerge yourself in the healing water as well, and obviously you can go naked if you want. There's also loads of like rituals that happen there celebration of seasonal festivals solstice and equinoxes as well which are, you know, normally in pagan tradition, but absolutely beautiful, like you're, honestly I couldn't fault it. It was.

Speaker 1:

It was a free experience as well. Like walking up the tour is free, the white spring is free. You can leave a donation if you want, but make sure to take cash, um, but honestly I cannot recommend those two places enough. You have the chalice well, which is really beautiful as well, so the chat. So basically you would kind of park on the outskirts of Glastonbury, walk up the tour, go to the spring, and then the chalice well is on the outskirts of Glastonbury.

Speaker 1:

Walk up the tour, go to the spring and then the Chalice Wells on the way back. This is again another sacred spring, but it's got the red spring in it, so it's got that iron rich water and again this is, you know, a place of healing and peace. I didn't go there the last time I went, but again it's a really good place for meditation. It's also linked to, like, the holy grail, um, and the cup that was used by jesus at the last supper is apparently meant to be buried within there. There's lots of gardens as well to provide space for meditation and reflection. Like this isn't a place that you go to have a little chat with your friends. This is where you go to have a complete chill out and just really enjoy. Enjoy what you're doing, okay, like google pictures, because it's it's ancient and it's gorgeous.

Speaker 1:

I think most people know about the chalice well, like if you know about glass room, you're likely to know about chalice well. The chalice well is also really good for pagans because again it comes back to like that goddess, goddess, worship, oh my god. Earth-based spirituality right, that's what paganism is is linked to obviously linked to many other things, and again it is about connecting in with the divine, feminine, to goddess energy and to the flowing water and lush vegetation that's around. It's meant to be a place of celebration, so it's a peaceful sanctuary, and yet they have symbolic elements everywhere, different symbols, like ancient symbols. I've been there for just the test of time really, and when you go there, you just end up just being just engulfed in the experience, like I'm somebody who struggles to totally relax, but in the childless world I can totally relax. Um, so, yeah, you can go there for rituals, ceremonies, things like that as well. It also holds them and, yeah, it's managed by a charitable organization. It literally charges a very minimal fee to get in, but I would say it's 100% the place to visit when you go to Glastonbury, because it's just one of those things that you will really like be gutted if you missed out on. And what is really important about Glastonbury is that it has a very strong mother energy because of the goddess of Avalon. You often will see her pictured around, but also you will see her in the goddess temple, which I'm going to talk about in a little bit.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to talk about a little bit because there's some other things I want to talk about first, because when we start to make our way back into glastonbury town, there is the glastonbury abbey. This isn't something I'm too interested in. Again, it's really linked to christianity and is meant to be the resting place of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. So if you're a history buff, like this is absolutely perfect for you. Again, this is meant to be like the resting place of Joseph, who brought the Holy Grail to Glastonbury. Apparently, he can be found in the Abbey as well. I mean, it's nice to look around, but for me I don't know. I don't really spend my time in the abbey when I go there. It doesn't have a draw for me. But again, totally check it out if that's something that you're into.

Speaker 1:

So as you walk more onto the high street, this is where you realize that Glastonbury is different from every single fucking high street you've ever been to in your life. So the high street is beautiful, it's colorful, there are shops bursting with crystals. You have apothecaries like Starchild. Please go see Starchild. Is that one of the best and most incredible shops you'll ever. You'll ever, um, you'll ever see also, sons of Asgard. They have the most incredible holistic range of of stuff like from sprays to candles to, um, like stuff that you can burn incense resins. Oh god, there's just so much within there. So I will always look at Sons of Asgard and Starchild because, literally favorite favorite shops ever. The crystal shops are good, but I do find them personally overpriced. But if you see something where you're like fuck yeah, I love that, and also you will find like giant crystals, you will find unusually shaped crystals. It's very, very specialist.

Speaker 1:

So as you come around the corner and you start to go up the high street, um, you see even more shops like this beautiful. And then you come to like a little alleyway and as you go through there you will enter it's called like the courtyard and on the left you will see a sex shop. You will see a sex shop but it's not like a grimy I don't know, like like gross sex shop. It's just one of the most beautiful places ever. I think I've said beautiful place about a thousand times on this podcast, but literally um.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, I, you go into the sex shop and there are just models of women of all different sizes, like there's vaginas everywhere. Like vaginas look like portals. It's just mad there's like penises everywhere that if you go around the corner, there's the more like x-rated stuff, like you have more of like the dildos and things like that. But you also have jewelry as well which is like of yoni or vagina or pussy, I don't know whatever you call yours, but let's call it yoni, um, because yoni means secret, um, sacred temple in Sanskrit, which I think is always beautiful, and when I kind of have my period I kind of come from a place of it being a sacred experience rather than something that's just happening to me, um, and that's come with a lot of like love over the years, because you know your yoni does so much for you and also is like the hub of pleasure, but it's also the hub of so much power as well. So the more you feel resistance to connecting with your yoni, the harder it is to really step into your power. Also, your cervix and your throat chakra are really like closely linked. So if you struggle to speak your truth, you may have problems with your periods, pain during sex, things like that. Anyway, I've completely gone off on vaginas, which is not what I'm meant to do, but anyway, here we are.

Speaker 1:

But, yeah, in the shop, beautiful, it's incredible artwork, amazing like cards and just like just beautiful things which you can just really enjoy life with. And you know they do very much like herbal, like lubes and stuff as well, so they do more of the natural based products rather than the chemical based products that we buy in supermarkets. So I highly recommend. And then when you come out of there, you can go upstairs to the goddess temple. Now, the goddess temple, don't be fooled, is literally just a room, but I promise you, the minute you step into that room, you literally just feel so held like. Also, there's big artwork of the goddess of Avalon, who is just everywhere in the goddess temple and it's beautiful, it's decorated beautifully.

Speaker 1:

If you go in there and there's like um, a particular lady called michelle on, she will literally cleanse you as well, which is so beautiful. You find that lots of women are in there, also lots of men, and it's just a place to go and meditate. There are cards which you can use to like pull yourself some cards. There's just, yeah, there's just this beautiful, beautiful feeling and when I went there last time I'm there, you know, minding my business sat down with the ghost of Babylon being like right, what am I gonna cry about today? Because literally I cry every single time I go into this fucking temple, because it just feels so nice and you just feel so held and then you end up just crying because it's beautiful oh god, I need to stop saying the word beautiful, um, but yeah, it's just an incredible experience.

Speaker 1:

And this woman, um, she got cleansed and then, like she went into like a fit of tears and I was like, oh no, I've been there, been there. So she came and she sat by me, um, and let you know, I'm like whatever and I pulled some cars and like I just don't know. I just you know, when you know, intuitively you're like, oh no, this woman had a miscarriage, like you just know. You may not know, but I know, because that's like because of my energy stuff, because how I read energy, how it happens energy, I don't try to. If your energy is open, I will just pick up on it.

Speaker 1:

This woman's energy was incredibly open. I just kind of knew that she had lost a child and I pulled this card for her and I gave it to her, but we didn't even exchange a word. I like like give her a card and it just said patience and she just burst out crying again. I was like great Kirsty, well done. And I just said to her it's going to get pregnant, like I genuinely felt that, um, but obviously like, not doctor, I'm not going to be like, you know I'm, I feel your energy and this is it. I just said to her it's going to happen, um, and she just kind of like smiled at me through her tears and give me a hug, and I was like, oh, bless you, because we've all been there, we've all been in those moments of pain and sometimes you just need, like another woman to acknowledge that you're in pain and just to give you like that little bit of love, like so, yeah, so I felt like that was really nice, I had really enjoyed that experience with her and I hope, wherever she is because she didn't speak English, um, but yeah, I hope wherever she is is. Yeah, she's doing better now that she's had a hug, a cleanse, and she's been in the goddess temple. But yeah, don't be put off by me saying you're gonna cry.

Speaker 1:

It's just one of those things where, like I've never truly expect it you know experience such an energy change. When you step into a room, like when you step into the goddess temple as a room, it is different. The minute you step in it's like bam, you feel different and you know it like, even if you're not open to energy and stuff, you just feel different. You just feel so freaking good when you're in there, and it's because the people who run it are all like volunteers. They're all like there because they freaking love the place, right, I don't even know who started it, um, but they do lots of stuff there. Um, they do lots of like um groups. They do like singing groups. They also do a lot for pregnant women. They also, I think, they hold a group for women who are childless as well. They offer so many stuff and I think, like, if you're in or around Glastonbury, this is the place where you could go to get some like advice around a doula which is like more of a spiritual midwife. So, yeah, that's, that's that.

Speaker 1:

Um, where else do I like to go? In Glastonbury, to be honest, that's pretty much where I like to go. I like to have a wander around the streets as well, because there's different artwork that you can find everywhere. There's often a smell of weed as well, because everyone's chill and you will often find some very quirky characters. They're very expressive in the way that they dress. And, yeah, my advice is to go try all the cake. Go try all the restaurants like they're all so amazing. I don't really have a favourite. They all kind of look like greasy spoon places, but you go in and the food is great, the people are great, people are so welcoming and, yeah, I try and visit all the, all the shops. You know you don't have to spend anything, but just go and look at all the different things. It's like things you've never seen before. It's so incredible.

Speaker 1:

So that's why I wanted to just write. I don't know. I don't know why I really want to talk about Glastonbury, but when I've said to like people like oh, I'm going to Glastonbury, they're like the festival. I'm like know the place. I want to raise the magic of the place. I want people to know about Glastonbury as a spiritual haven, like as this place where you can go on a pilgrimage if you want, like it's so, so mental, like the energy there is incredible.

Speaker 1:

When I was there last time I had a complete download as well of all the stuff to do with my business and it just felt good and it's just like a vibrant alternative culture like that you don't really find anywhere else. I've not seen anywhere quite like it and they often have loads of different events on, so make sure you check the events ahead of time. And they have shamanic healing there. They have tarot reading, their meditation, they have healing workshops. They have loads of freaking stuff going on all of the time. So, yeah, give it a google before you go book this stuff in. I mean, there's tons of videos on tiktok, about Glastonbury and things like that if you're into the influencer life.

Speaker 1:

But, yeah, my top picks would be to go to the tour, to go to the white spring, check out Chalice. Well, if you fancy it, hit the shops and get yourself something nice to eat. And yeah, funny story, when I went to the White Spring and got naked and I took off my bathing suit and had a dip, and then I came out and I was like, okay, cool, I'm going to get dressed now. I got home and I think Urkel the German lady next to me she's not called Urkel, I'm just naming her Urkel and had stolen my bathing suit. So, yeah, be protective over your bathing suits or just go in naked in the first place and don't fanny around.

Speaker 1:

That is the lesson. That is it. That's about Glastonbury. I hope you learned something. I hope that was interesting. I hope Glastonbury is on one of your bucket lists, somewhere where you're going to visit. Also, if anybody wants to go, I'm always up for an excuse to go to Glastonbury. So let me know, because it's freaking amazing and that's where I'm just going to leave it today. I think that's just where I'm going to leave it. I have no idea where this episode came from or the need to talk about it or whatever, but somebody obviously out there needed to hear about this here, about Glastonbury. I don know. It's going to be deeply healing for whoever decides to go after listening to this podcast. If it's you, please do let me know, because I love to know that my podcast actually has a positive influence on people. And, yeah, I'm going to leave it there for today and sending you all loads and loads of freaking love, and I will see you next Monday.
